FINANCIAL LITERACY MONTH

Back in 2003, the United States of America designated April as Financial Literacy month, with the

intent of raising public awareness of the importance of good financial habits and maintaining good money

management skills. Financial Literacy Month evolved from Youth Financial Literacy Day, introduced by the National Endowment for Financial Education. Back in March of 2017, President Obama made a proclamation highlighting the importance of being financially capable and declaring the month of April as National Financial Capability Month.

Whether or not your plan after graduation is college, you can check the Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development website below for resources on financial literacy.
