P

PERSPECTIVE: How can we analyze and shape the lens in
which young people view themselves and the world around them?

We must commit to an open frame of mind that allows all to have empathy/growth.

U

UNDERSTANDING: How can we avoid the pitfall of teaching our
students “what to think” rather than teaching them “how to think”?

Critical analysis skills also means being openminded to new ideas, culture, experiences, individual needs and individual differences.

R

RIGOR: How can we challenge ourselves, and each other, to work hard, think deeper and to persevere through adversity?

“WE DO NOT QUIT!” Develop persistence and resilience that drives curiosity in order to discover what you do not know.

P

PROBLEM-SOLVING: Is converting an actual current state into a desired future state that is better.  Whenever you are thinking creatively-and-critically about ways to increase the quality of life (or to avoid a decrease in quality) for yourself and for others, you are actively involved in problem-solving. An important goal of education is helping students learn how to think more productively while solving problems. Combining creative thinking (to generate ideas) and critical thinking (to evaluate ideas).  Both modes of thinking are essential for a well-rounded productive thinker.

O

OPEN COMMUNICATION: How can we create an open and honest dialogue with students and families that allows the greatest chance of success?

We foster a sense of understanding and inclusion to ensure all constituents within the school communities are represented, encouraged, and empowered.

S

SOCIAL CONSCIENCE: How can our actions positively impact our families and communities?

By striving to  stimulate the community through individual development and initiatives that impact the world around us.

E

EXPECTATIONS: How far will our students go?

As a result of Victory's education, our students will develop skills and knowledge from a range of different subjects, acquiring skills needed for the real world, like communication, inquiry, analysis, personal and professional ethics, and productive work.
